About this market

What is PUMP perp?

PUMP is a high-beta Solana-launchpad play; Hyperliquid's hourly funding makes crowded longs expensive fast. AymarData has been recording the PUMP perpetual on Hyperliquid since 2026-10-01 and holds 110K events so far, about 4,400 a day. History is forward-only: we record live and do not backfill.

PUMP is the token of pump.fun, the Solana memecoin launchpad. On Hyperliquid, PUMP is moved by daily memecoin-creation counts on Solana, and by unlock schedule and competition from rival launchpads. The venue adds its own mechanics: funding is paid hourly rather than every eight hours, and positions are on-chain, so liquidation clusters and large wallets are visible rather than inferred.

Around 4,400 events a day on PUMP, with large bursts. Memecoin perps on Hyperliquid are where leverage is most crowded, so funding extremes and rapid liquidation chains are the interesting episodes to isolate.

What moves PUMP on Hyperliquid

  • Daily memecoin-creation counts on Solana
  • Unlock schedule and competition from rival launchpads
  • Launchpad revenue and the buyback programme funded by it

FAQ

PUMP perp: common questions

Why does PUMP produce such bursty data?

PUMP trades on sentiment, so activity is concentrated in short episodes with heavy liquidation flow — about 4,400 events a day on average, but with high variance. Look at funding and open interest alongside the tape to identify crowded positioning.

What moves the PUMP perp on Hyperliquid?

Daily memecoin-creation counts on Solana, and unlock schedule and competition from rival launchpads. Hyperliquid's hourly funding and on-chain liquidations amplify both effects. PUMP is a high-beta Solana-launchpad play; Hyperliquid's hourly funding makes crowded longs expensive fast.

How far back does PUMP data on Hyperliquid go?

Recording started 2026-10-01, and it is forward-only — we do not backfill Hyperliquid. That is about 25 days and 110K events at the time of this page. Coverage grows every day.

How is funding stored for PUMP?

As separate events (event_type=funding) with a funding_rate field, in the same time-ordered stream as trades and L2 updates. Hyperliquid pays funding hourly, so expect 24 funding events a day for PUMP.

Can I compare PUMP on Hyperliquid with a centralized venue?

PUMP is not in the top-20 Binance perp list we publish, so cross-venue comparison would need another source. Check the catalog for what is available, or request a dataset.
